This Privacy Policy explains how Blackmoon Systems (“Blackmoon Systems,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information about the customers, contacts, and visitors we work with, including information collected in connection with our text messaging (SMS) program.
Information we collect
- Contact information you provide to us — name, business name, email address, mailing address, and telephone or mobile number.
- Service information needed to support you — support requests, ticket history, details about the equipment and systems we manage for you, and records of our communications.
- Messaging information — the mobile number you give us, your consent to be contacted by text, and the content and delivery status of messages exchanged with us.
- Basic website information — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and support the services you have engaged us for.
- To communicate with you about service, scheduling, support tickets, outages, and account matters — by phone, email, or text message.
- To send invoices and handle billing.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Text messaging and your mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We use your mobile number only to send the service and support messages described in our Terms of Service, and to reply to messages you send us. We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile numbers or SMS consent records.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at frank@blackmoon.systems. Opting out of text messages does not affect your service with us; we will simply reach you by phone or email instead.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who process information on our behalf — for example our messaging carrier, ticketing and monitoring platforms, and accounting systems — and only as needed to perform those functions for us;
- When you ask us to, such as when we coordinate with a vendor or carrier on your behalf;
- When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our customers.
As stated above, mobile opt-in and consent data is excluded from all sharing other than with the subcontractors who deliver the messages.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide services to you and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. Records of SMS consent and opt-out are retained as required to demonstrate compliance.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
- Unsubscribe from any non-essential email using the link in the message.
- Request a copy, correction, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
Our services are provided to businesses and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
